The Lamborghini Gallardo was a long time cornerstone of the Italian automaker's lineup, and in 2010, the second generation of the Gallardo Superleggera was unveiled. Lighter, louder, and sharper than its siblings, this track-focused exotic proved that sometimes less really is more.

The name “Superleggera” translates to “super light” in Italian, and Lamborghini ensured this Gallardo was worthy of the name. Compared to the already potent LP560-4, the Superleggera shed around 70 kilograms thanks to extensive use of carbon fibre, polycarbonate windows, and a minimalist interior design.

Nestled behind the drivers seat is a 5.2-liter V10 engine producing 562 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque, this power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed automated manual e-gear transmission in a way which can only be described as savage in a sprint from 0-60 in just 3.4 seconds.

The interior was stripped down to essentials, out went the leather and carpeting, replaced with Alcantara, carbon fibre racing seats, bare aluminium footwells and carbon fibre door panels with pull straps further emphasizing the car’s hardcore character.

The Gen 2 Gallardo Superleggera marked the end of an era. It was one of the last Lamborghinis developed before the brand fully embraced turbocharging and hybridization in the following decade. With its naturally aspirated engine, tactile driving experience, and unapologetic personality, it stands as one of the most beloved variants in the Gallardo lineup. Collectors and enthusiasts already view the LP570-4 Superleggera as a future classic — a raw, lightweight weapon from a time when supercars were still a little bit wild.

This example has covered just 7,622 miles and has been in the same custodianship for the last ten years, benefitting from Topaz front end PPF and will be serviced by Lamborghini before being handed over to the new owner.

Whilst the Superleggera was not a numbered car, it is believed that just 500-600 were produced for the global network which certainly makes them rare and this example is a late registered car with low mileage and nice history, it would certainly be one for a collection as these will without doubt appreciate in the future.
