McLaren is a brand whose history is entrenched in motorsport. A manufacturer born out of competitive racing and today McLaren is one of only three legacy Formula one teams still competing on the grid and even fewer teams to secure the “Triple Crown” winning the Formula One World Championship, the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans (in their first ever road car, the legendary McLaren F1). McLaren racing cars have been graced by some of the greatest racing drivers the sport has ever known, Lauda, Prost, Senna, Häkkinen and Hamilton to name the champions alone.

It was only a matter of time before this success transferred from the track to the road and in 2009 the 12C was released, paving the way for the company’s new endeavours in road car production.

Fast forward to 2015 and McLaren unveil their latest addition to the lineup, the 570S. Powered by a 3.8 Litre twin turbocharged V8 producing 570ps (as the name suggests), this 570S uses a great amount of shared technology from the formula one entity making it the lightest car in its class. McLaren’s patented carbon fibre MonoCell II chassis, Carbon Fibre brakes and the use of lightweight components throughout see this car at just 1,356kg on the scales, some 66ks lighter than the Lamborghini Huracan LP610.

It's a pretty car to, with the design language of the 570S echoing the P1 hypercar in smaller proportions.

There is no doubt this car is completely driver focused. With the use of advanced chassis systems controlled via the Active Dynamics Panel, adaptive suspension can be optimised in Normal, Sport and Track modes. Normal cushions urban imperfections to provide optimum comfort; Sport reduces body roll and is ideal for sinuous roads; race-circuit-optimised Track maximises the sense of connection between road and driver.
