Few sports cars have earned the iconic status of the Porsche 911. Over six decades of continuous evolution, the 911 has become a symbol of precision engineering, timeless design, and exhilarating performance. Now, with the latest generation—the 992—Porsche continues to refine what many consider the benchmark for the modern sports car.

The Porsche 911 story begins in 1964, when it debuted as a successor to the Porsche 356. Designed by Ferdinand "Butzi" Porsche, the 911 kept the rear-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout but brought a more powerful six-cylinder engine to the table. Right from the start, it was clear that this was no ordinary sports car. Over the years, the 911 has undergone significant changes while maintaining its core identity

Launched in 2019, the 992 generation is the eighth in the 911 lineage. It stays true to its roots while embracing cutting-edge technology and design innovations.

The 992 Carrera features a wider stance, muscular haunches, and more aggressive styling with a continuous LED light bar across the rear. It looks unmistakably like a 911—but sleeker, sharper, and more modern. Compared to the outgoing 991, the 992 is slightly longer and wider, improving stability and presence on the road. The body is now almost entirely aluminium, reducing weight and improving balance.

Powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, power is sent to the rear wheels through Porsche’s tried and tested 8-speed PDK transmission.

Inside, the 992 blends analog charm with digital sophistication. The tachometer remains proudly analog, but it’s flanked by digital displays. A high-resolution 10.9-inch touchscreen dominates the centre, integrating navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Porsche’s suite of connected services.
